Finally retired and planning on RVing full time visiting Canada and the USA. For this purpose I got myself my very first truck! A 2009 Sierra 3500HD SLT with duallies. I also bought a 40' 5th wheel. I have tried to understand the GVWR, GCWR etc but don't seem to get it. The truck's GVWR is 11,400 lb and the 5th wheel's is 15,500 lb. I've been told that the truck will pull that trailer just fine but I would like to understand the calculations.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
