GMC Sierra 1500 Muffler?

I have a GMC Sierra 1500 with a 350 V-8 and i want it to sound like I have straight pipes, but i want some kind of muffler to prevent backfiring. I was recomended a Thrush 21" muffler, would that make it sound like I have no muffler. What would be some good options for mufflers to give the nice low rumbling straight pipe sound. Also I'm leaving the cat's on. Thanks!

Here you go if your looking for an aggressive sound and yes do keep the Cat's on. Removing it will cause your engine to loose HP and TQ.
