Well my friend said he couldnt put a air intake on his truck because it wasnt carburated or something. Its a 5.7 liter V8 Manual tranny i don't get what he means by it
What does it mean its not carburated. How is it not??? what does it mean

Both can have a cold air intake installed, even injected cars and trucks have a throttle body to attach to.

He can do whatever he want`s , the truck is fuel injected not carbed, and a cold air intake only adds noise and takes money out of his pocket. The factory system already draws air from outside the vehicle, the cold air kit sucks air from the nice warm area around the engine under the hood, how is that a cold air intake?

I have no clue ether. The 1991 5.7 Liter was a TBI (Throttle Body Injected) engine, which is ran be a PCM. May be your friend needs to know what he's driving, so we can understand what he's trying to tell you.

Good luck and hope this helps you know a lttie more about the 1991 5.7 Liter engine.
