ok I have a 1994 gmc sonoma but on this site http://www.slickcar.com/accessories/s15pickup_accessories.asp

it say that my year is a s-15..but my title says sonoma and iam trying to get power locks for keyless entry but i need 2 other modules but for sonoma it doesnt show my year but s15 does.....also is there a website that i can type in my vin number for a car and find information about it for free THANK YOU!

The Sonoma can be called the S15 or the T15. So yes, you have a Sonoma S15. The Chevrolet S-10 is identical to your vehicle other than badging. You can always find the same part number for the similar Chevy S-10 and compare it to your Sonoma S-15. They should be the same part number unless it is a part with badging on it.

Your second question regarding determing the build-out on your vehicle. The answer is that the RPO codes in your glove box like "ZR5" etc. summarize the build-out on your vehicle. You can search the web and find RPO engines, decoders, etc. and after a short period of time construct the build-out on your vehicle. Your GM dealer can also print out a build out sheet for your vehicle with the last 8 digits of your VIN. This is a free service. Late in the afternoon is a good time to ask for this. LOL
