Have a friend with a 2004 GMC Envoy. He was ejecting a CD and hit the button a couple times and now the CD player will not work and neither will the radio. The XM will still work. There is also a solid yellow light (small) on the right side of the face of the radio that stays on. The fuses are all good. Any ideas of how to fix it?

If you checked the radio fuse in the fuse box under the back seat, the only other thing to check is the power and ground and data line to the radio. if those are all good, the radio would need to be replaced.
To check power to the radio, you would need to pull the radio out and check for power on the orange wire( Pin B1) on the Gray connector and the ground is the black wire with the white stripe (pin A12) on the gray connector also.

To check the data line you would need to ohm the data line from the radio connector to the DLC connector under the drivers dash. The Data line at the radio is the orange wire (pin A1) of the gray connector and ohm it to the Data link connector (DLC) pin 2 the purple wire. Ohm it with the key off and after the key has been off for 10 minutes. It should ohm out less than 2 ohms.

You can try resetting the radio but turning it off and then disconnecting the battery for 3 min and then reconnecting the battery. Make sure that the radio is turned off, or you will be required to enter a radio code to have it work again.

If all ok, replace the radio. Get the part # off the radio to match it up. Try even to search e-bay for one with the part #
