Hey Everyone,

I have a 2010 Sierra and while driving around during the day I like to run with my parking lights on instead of the daytime running lights. When I was doing this, I would be running down the road and people would flash me as if there was a cop ahead, and after about the 15th time of never seeing a cop, it made me think that my headlights may be flashing. I payed attention and was able to find out that they would flash when I would apply my brake. If I tapped the brake, the headlights would flash, if I applied and kept my foot on the brake, the lights would stay lit up until I let off.

So, has anyone had this same problem or does anyone have any idea what I could do in order to fix this problem. I appreciate the help.

That's weird. I'll have to see if mine does the same thing. I rarely even turn off the daytime running lights so I've never noticed it. That just sounds like a short somewhere.

I'd say that's what it would have to be. I just need to go get it looked at and let them track the short down. My dad has a 2010 Sierra too and his doesn't have this problem. I just haven't taken it to the shop yet because what should take a day normally takes them a few more than that.

Picked it up from the shop today... They said that they traced through all the wires and couldn't find a short so they went ahead and replaced the headlight switch hoping it was that, and so far is seems to have fixed the problem.

Cool. Sorry I didn't get back to you ... couldn't find the thread. Mine doesn't do it either. I've got a question for you though; does it seem like your headlights need to be aimed up some when you're driving at night? Mine don't shine much more than probably 10 feet in front at night. High beams work great but low beams suck.

Ive cranked mine up as far as they will go haha... But I live in a small rural town and dont drive in a city much... I definitely agree that the low beams are terrible..
