My day running lights and lights at night were glitching out recently. I would hit the dash by the headlight switch or play with the brights and they'd come back on.
I rigged the lights to operate manually off the headlight switch when they finally gave out. I took a look at the drl schematic and figured I had better things I could be doing. The wiring layout is very interrelated.
I took the truck to the dealer and they said the problem was the Underhood bussed electrical center.
To make a long story short, it fixed it.
It was fairly costly so if your truck is doing what mine did you might look at the ubec connections.
My truck is a 99' Gmc Sonoma with a 2.2 L 5 speed standard
Hope this helps someone!
