HELP! 95 sierra lose of power???

ok the truck is a 1995 gmc 1500 2wd with the 305ci motor
the problem im having is a lose of power when accelerating as in the truck will bog down to only a couple hundred rpm and after about 3-5 seconds it will either die or take of like a bat out of hell
if anyone has any idea whats wrong please help

have you done the simple thing, basic tune up?

I'd check the fuel filter/fuel pump after a basic tuneup if the problem persists.

Just wondering if what your problem actually was and how you fixed it???
I have the exact issue on my 2004...
