I am trying to decide if HID lighting is worth the price or not for putting in a vehicle, I've got an 08 Sierra. Does anyone have HIDs in their truck and like it? Anyone have their fog lights done and could point me where you got them? Also do you bother getting your high beams done in HID or do you not?

I have 10,000K HIDs in my 2010 Sierra (Highs, Lows, and 6,000K Fogs) and I wouldn't trade them back for the stock lights any day. I love mine. I heard that 6,000K are the brightest burning and shine the farthest but I decided to go with the 10,000K because I like how blue they burn. I bought mine from a guy in my hometown but I know you can order them off the internet. I also heard that if you get anything above a 6,000K for your fog-lights then they will burn too hot and cause the foglight housing to melt. I hated to do it but I had to hardwire my fogs, knock on wood, I haven't had any problems out of them.

If you want to see pics of my lights they are on my CarDomain page at the bottom...

Let me know what you think and what you decide to do...

I decided to go with 4300k in all 3 and the lows and highs are Phillips brand which I read was the only way to go. As far as the fog lights I got a decent? brand. From what I have read on a few different sites, some have said that going higher than 4300k you start losing light output and start to get a glare over clarity and distance.

Are all crew cab Sierras so low to the ground? Mine seems like it is too low to the ground and could be about 3-6 inches higher.

I went and bought genuine Phillips brand HIDs for the highs and lows and a different brand for the fogs. Can you tell me what all you needed to do to remove your headlights? I am hoping this process will not take to long for me to install.

I couldn't figure out how to take them out... Had to put my hand in the vice and make it a little bit smaller... Haha. But really, I just made my hand fit. After I was done it looked like I had wrestled a wild cat because of all the scratches on my arms... Let me know what you do and if you can take some pictures on how to remove your lights, I'd appreciate it.

I've seen videos that show you taking the grille off removing a portion of your inner wheel wells to get the headlights out since there are 4 bolts holding them in place.

I did my fog lights and high beams and realized it was easier to just do what you did and not take anything out. Maybe my hands are super small but I had no too much of a problem getting those switched out. I can see where my low beams might suck. But yea I'd definitely say for a rule of thumb for anyone replacing lights to just try and leave everything together because it honestly was a time saver.

Order them off of www.ddmtuning.com it takes 10 days to ship unless you get priority but its well worth it. They have a lifetime warrenty I bought the 6000k kit and it looks like daylight in front of me. When installing they told me all GM's have reverse polarity so just flip the plug around when you install. That was my only problem with them.

now go buy the 60 led bulb cluster in bright white, makes your drls look like they are HID

I just got mine in from the same site and they are great. I went with the 8,000K/35W kit and it is awesome on my truck. I don't have fogs on my truck just yet, but once I get them, I'm gonna be placing another order with ddm tuning for those bulbs as well

If anyone knew where I can get Amber LED bulbs that would be sweet, that all that's left on the exterior that isn't LED.

ebay is where i got my amber 60 led bulb that i put in the fog lights and the bright white 60 led bulb i put in the drl (just used the 3156 if i remember right)
