Hello, im having an issue with my 2003 Envoy. The truck rev's extremely high when i first turn it on in the morning and continues that way for about the first 1/2 mile of driving afterwhich it works perfectly fine. This just started happening this winter so perhaps the temperature has something to do with it? I have started the truck and let it sit for 20 minutes before driving and while the rev dies down after a few minutes of idle as soon as i put it in gear and begin to drive it rev's high again until i get about 1/2 mile down the road. I dont notice any other symptoms or issues. Any help is apreciated. thank you

Start with the simple and clean the throttle body. The Envoy is know to have carbon build up in throttle body and will cause issues like the one you have mentioned.

Start with the simple and clean your throttle body with throttle body clearer. Make sure your IAC (Idle Air Control) valve passageway's is cleaned out. Just follow the instructions on the can and make sure that's ir throttle body cleaner and not carburetor cleaner. The carb cleaner is to corrosive for the gaskets used for the throttle body.

Good luck and keep us posted.;)
