How can I check if a recall is done on my used truck?

I bought a 1998 GMC Sierra C1500. I find only a single recall, and it is in wiring. Is there a way I can check some public record if the truck has had this done, or check with GMC. If it has not will they still do it? - Thanks wallyc

Any GM dealer will be able to tell you if there are any open recalls left on your vehicle by providing them with the VIN.
