how do i fix my brakes on my 99' gmc sierra?

my brakes are at the very back of the pedal . and my parking brake light is on all the time.

I'm having the same problem with my 2000 with the brake light being on all the time. I figure it must be a bad switch but I haven't checked yet.

Check the fluid to see if its low, next check brake pads to see if there is any left. If both are fine it could be the booster.
