how do you check transfer case fluid - 4wd ?

i have a 2000 jimmy 4x4 and would like to check/change the fluid,.,, i see the drain plug but where is the fill plug ? and what type of fluid goes in it ?

i have a 1992 gmc jimmy, on my truck the transfer case fluid is the exact same fluid as the transmission, all you have to do is open the drain plug and let go, then put the plug in and fill up your transmission/ transfer case.
