How do you program a keyless entry remote for a '05 GMC Sierra?

You need a scan tool. They have them at the dealerships. It usually runs about $40 to have one programmed.
 
lock your doors the hold the lock and unlock butten at the same time til the truck un lock 15 sec or soo
 
Close the doors. Hold down the lock button on the door while turning the ignition key ON, OFF, ON, OFF. Keep holding lock button down until door locks cycle. Release door lock button. You are now in settings mode. Now, hold down both lock and unlock buttons on the FOB and keep holding until door locks cycle. Grab the next FOB and hold their lock and unlock buttons down until door locks cycle. Do this for ALL FOBs for this vehicle, new and old ones, cause the code is now different for all. Turn the ignition key on and off and open a door to take you out of setup mode. If you take too long to do a FOB or mess up somehow start at the beginning and do it all over again.
