That all maters to how your service your engine and do you warm it up before you take down the road. I have over 365,000 miles on my 1996 Jimmy and is still running great without loosing any oil between engine service.

I just started to get piston slap in the cold morning then goes away when warmed up. But i can't not complain for what the 4.3 V6 vortec goes through since i still go rice burner beatings with it LOL. :D

I have replaced u joints and wheel bearings ect, but the engine and transmission is still running strong for being on borrowed time. :eek:
