It's a 2004 Gmc Sierra 1500 crew cab. It has a 5.3L from a 08 Gmc sierra just like mine (if that matters)
The thing is my truck doesn't have a switch for traction control.I would like to know how I could turn it off. I heard you can pull a fuse (ABS fuse or something like that) from the fuse box under the steering wheel but I'm not so sure that by pulling the abs fuse it would disable trac.
Please tell me how I could disable trac. Thank you.

On some cars and trucks in the engine comparment. you can pull the fuse. it will disable the pump.. another way just unplug the abs module....

Ok for you all tire burners, GM adds a thing called "Torque Management" into all of the 99 and newer model trucks w/ V8's. What this is for so Gm can pass emission testing and some kind of other safety issues, but in the mean time all it does it kill your power when your trying to spin your wheel or when you start off hard...basically it kills your power until the truck sees that you really need the power then it lets you have it like when passing someone. Its a pain when trying to do burnouts, but you can get it removed with a HP tuner or Tech2 I believe. (check with that though and most transmission shop will have a tech2 scanner)

I found that when power-braking, the rpm wont go above a certain mark (1,800 RPM) but the tires will spin no problem at all(maybe enuff to get a little smoke goin), but once i let off the brake the rpms shoot up and the tires smoke like crazy almost instantly. Waking up the beast, however the torque management is still activated.
