...battery but every now and then ? The battery dies. after a jump or a trickle charge it will start right up but about two days later it will be dead. idk if this is common. like if it's the alternator or if it's a drain some were or just cause it's been cold and I don't let the alternator charge it long enough?

All batteries will lose there charge and if it's been dead to long will cause the battery to not hold a charge anymore.

If the battery is new enough that you can bring it back form where you bought it. Exchange it and make sure you keep it charged as much as possible.

Good luck and check to see if there is a drain being cause by a accessory in your Jimmy.

If it is losing charge in 2 days and nothing in the vehicle is left on than either the battery is bad or you have a short in the vehicle draining it down. Eliminate the obvious 1st, headlights, dome light are out. If everything is off and there is no drain it shouldn't spark when you connect the battery cables. If it does something is drawing enough current to make that spark
