that comes out of the tail pipe? have changed sparkplugs wires rotor and dist cap. the sparkplugs on the left side was fouled out and the ones on the right side where fine and it also has a idle problem

With Cap rotor plugs and timming complete, and the problem is still there, you must scan the engine with a diagnostic tool. You will see if your TPS Throttle positioning sensor is bad, or an Oxygen sensor is bad. It is not out of the question that a scan will reveal bad injectors on the far side.
Scan the computer.

We need more info... eng type cpi? throttle body? sounds like cpi... when you say left side do you mean from the drivers seat or the front of the truck? If it is cpi, you have a big intake down the center of the eng you probley have busted fuel lines under the intake, maybe a bad inj. asy too. If throttle body then I would remove the air cleaner and see if the Injec tor is stuck open, (Remove the inj connectors and swap them) this will tell you if it is the inj. or the ecm

my 91 was idling fast all the time. Turned out it was the temperature sensor. The engine thought it was cold all the time and so it ran real rich. $24 part easy to change.
