I have a 1997 gmc savana and the brake lights dont work when the lights are on.?

I have a 1997 gmc savana and the brake lights dont work when the lights are on. Although the 3 brake light on top does. When I took it apart all the bulbs work but I did see that one set of bulbs just go off when I hit the brakes when the lights are on.

I had the same problem with my 98 savana, it was a bad ground on the light socket itself, I picked up 2 generic after market sockets (Metal) cut and wires nutted together the running and brake wires, ran the ground to the metal socket body and it was a beautiful thing, it works, $6-8 fix for both.
