i have a 1997 gmc sonoma and it doesnt want to accelerate when first taking off?

When i first take off in the car and i give my truck a little gas it doesnt want to accelerate and it sometimes dies or bogs down

Start with the simple and replace your fuel filter and clean your MAF sensor and EGR valve. Try giving it a Seafoam treatment also, in most cases. This will help clean out any carbon that is on your engine that is causing you to have what you have described.

i had the same problem, all i had to do was a basic tune up, swap out the spark plugs for new ones ( make sure you set the correct gap) a new pcv valve and a fresh air filter. runes great now with no bog and much better acceleration
