gear . any answers? the knock doesnt do it all the time just on occasions. it seems to be loud in gear
 
could be your tranny. or the bottom end of the motor. you can pull the trans pan and if it has metal in it the planetary gears are going out. but mostly khnock result in a rod or piston in the motor might wanna get it checked by a shop not really a whole anybody tell you on here without lookin at it but if you catch it in time you may save yourself a locked up motor
