i have a 2000 gmc jimmy that is hard to start when cold ?

i have spoke with a mechanic friend and he does not have a clue where to look !!! i changer the fuel filter and it seamed to help but it was past due anyway and may have needed it antway . the problem only happens when it gets started in the morning and through out the day it starts fine and runs great ... it runs great right after it starts when i have trouble !!! this problem has just started over the past week and before then i have never had any problems .. any help will be greatly appreciated .. thanks in advance =)

this is no big deal this happens to every car in the mornings when its cold.The best thing to do before you go to work in the morning try to turn it on and leave it on for few minures so it will worm up.If you live in a hot country i do not have a clue what is happening to your car...
