I HAVE A 2004 GMC CANYON the heater blower quit working on the first 3 speeds...

Same thing happened to me, change the blower switch under dash for motor, i thought the motor was going bad its just the switch

same thing happened to me you need to find the ground blocks under the hood that is what is causing it I went through about 5 blower motors before i figured it out you need to clean the ground blocks and make sure they are touching clean metal and it will stop doing that.

OK I will bite ....where are the grounding blocks ?? I have a 98 Sonoma and the fan runs on level 3 and that is it..Would love to get it fixed..

That is properly called the resistor it has 4 wires that hangs down into toward the floor and when you have large tall people riding in the front ppassenger seat they stick their feet up again=st the plug connection and the plug eventually weakens

That is absolutely my problem, The motor isn't seeing ground. I have checked the main ground at the battery and of course it is good. I have looked for other locations but was unsuccessful. Can you point me where to look?
