i have a 2005 gmc canyon with a 3.5 L 5 cylinder?

i'm trying to change my fuel filter i have the lines off but i can't figure out how to get the filter out of the plastic harness ... does it open somehow ??? or do u just forge it out ???please help ...

Some require a special tool to remove. Check with you local auto parts store they will help you. DO NOT gouge out! Also be sure to relieve gas line pressure by removing fuel pump relay and try starting. Be careful not to get gas in your eyes.
