I have taken it to the near by parts store and allowed them to check the problem and it is telling me misfire and fuel sensor which i believe is as simple as repalcingthe fuel pump but of course it is quite expensive so i have to save but i have never seen it flash and i wanted to know if is something i should be worried about?
i have a gmc jimmy and the check engine light is flashing what does that mean?

try another place and test again..a flashing lite meanstrouble..{LIKE dont drive it] usually problem is injectors putting wrong mix into cylinders] you can burn up catalitic converter,,or burn a valve/piston

What are the DTC codes??? Post back, be glad to help you get your Jimmy running 100% again and what year is your jimmy???
i have had same problem and was told it was Oxygen Sensor, but mine only flashed when at a stop and went off as soon as truck started to be driven ... but please b wise about driving as it could b a unhealthy problem that leads to major damage in truck intrenal engine
