I recently purchased a 2003 GMC Savana Conversion fan. I only have the rear heating system on the front dash (w/ the thumbwheel). I do not have rear controls for temperature. Here is my question. When I turn the air on high I get nice cold air in the front. If I have the thumbwheel shut of I get no air flow in the back at all. If I turn that "on" (no matter what speed) the air is hot. The air comes out fine but is always hot. Is that normal? Or should it get cold because I have the air on? I assumed that because I didn't have the rear temp controls that those vents would take whatever setting the front had.
I have checked for obvious blown fuses as I've read in other forums that could be the case. I haven't check the fuses with a digital multimeter yet. I've also read it could be an actuator that's located under the vehicle on the passenger side. I've also read it could be a bad valve in the same area that controls hot/cold air.
I'm not much of a car guy and any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
