I have a 2002 GMC Envoy XL,
Ever since i disconnected my batter yesterday i have been having idle issues. The issue i am having is that it will idle fine then it would go like it is going to stall. Luckily the service engine soon light came on because i am going to hook it up to the scanner tommorow at work and hopefully that will lead me in the right direction.
Any Other Ideas?
I know it can be alot.... but any common issues with this year.

Common for the IAC valve to stick in the throttle body. The simple fix is to clean your throttle body with throttle body cleaner, just follow the instructions on the can and use the whole can.

Once the throttle body has been cleaned, disconnect the battery for 30 seconds and reconnect. Turn the ignition switch to the run position for 30 sec (Engine not running) and then turn it off for 10 sec then turn it on again for 10 sec before starting the engine. This will reset your IAC valve, go for a test drive to reset the PCM to relearn your driving habit and your good to go.

Keep us posted on what DTC codes you have found. ;)

So i did what you said and cleaned the throttle body and while i was doing that i discovered something, a cracked vacuum line that runs behind the throttle body and continues to the passenger side behind the washer reservoir, not sure what its for but it was leaking vacuum. I repaired it with some rubber line that i had handy. after doing both the cleaning and repairing the truck idles fine and runs a bit better.
Thanks Molson
