Will I experience any increase in power? Better gas mileage? and what one out there is the best to buy? Also does anybody know anything about cold air intakes? will I gain any power there? and what one is the best to buy?

save your money, this stuff is all worthless crap on a stock motor. your vehicle has a cold air intake on it now, about the only thing you will succeed in doing is messing with your computer, making the fuel mileage worse, and possibly leaning out the motor, which will burn a hole in a piston. Talk to your mechanic, none of this plastic crap,or spacers or sooper dooper power scooper chips will do anything but empty your wallet. If you want an extra 100 horsepower, find a later model engine with a turbo on it, this will give you the zip, zap , zing you are looking for so you can spank your neighbors crappy hondayota,There is a lot more information coming out now about engines, and transmissions blowing up after installing power chips. GM has voided the warranty on thousands of cars that installed power chips, and other manufacturers may follow suit. I heard about the diesel engines blowing up, right from the beginning, in 92, which is about as far back as you can go to find a vehicle with a computer to program, unless an engine is built to be programmable for the most part anything you do to make an engine work harder, means it blows up that much sooner. Some chips do little more than change valve timing. You want a 350 hp motor? you have to buy one or build one, gm performance has some interesting crate motors available, as do other manufacturers like edelbrock and many others, all it takes is about 6 grand.

You Sierra has a Vortec engine and the throttle body spacers will not help. The fuel injectors are located in the upper intake manifold, directly in front of the intake port. The throttle body spacers only work for Throttle body's with the injector at the opening of the throttle body for better fuel atomization (TBI).

As for the cold air intake, there is K&N cold air intake http://www.car-stuff.com/mmparts/gmc-sierra/cold_air_intake.html, but to have it work. Your going to have to also improve your exhaust system with a lesser restrictive exhaust. http://www.magnaflow.com/ is one of the better ones out in the market for cat back exhaust systems.

Once you have the fight flow cold intake and exhaust, your best result will be from tuning your PCM for better performance and economy. http://www.pcmforless.com/ is one of the better places for getting the PCM tuned for the upgrades made to your Sierra's engine. Give them a call and they will be more the happy to answer any questions you may have.

Good luck and keep us posted;)
