How hard is it to switch out the injector pump that is suppose to be under the manafold? Dealership says it needs to be replaced for 1200 bux. My truck has about 47000 miles and it'sa 94 GMC Suburban 6.5 TD. Serv eng soon light came on again and the only problem I am seeing/feeling is that when I take my foot off of the gas pedal I feel a little surging and extra puff of black smoke from tail pipe.
So far this dealership has replced the lift pump, then a few months later a lift pump controler. It's a never ending battle with the vehicle, any thoughts?
