I just got my 96 jimmy sls and the previous owner told me that the interior light module shorted so he took it out and did not replace cause it's a dealer item. No problem I know where it goes and I got a replacement, but still no dome light. I opened the dome light cover and found no bulb. Trouble is I cannot locate the correct bulb, local auto stores come up with nothing when they search. Does anyone know what bulb I need? Also, should the other lights work when key is not in ignition? The map lights all work when truck is on, but nothing works when it's off. Is this normal or is there another issue I need to correct?

I decided to just get an interior light bulb from the auto supermarket. Just grabbed one that looked like it would fit and it worked. So the interior light module I picked up from the junk yard worked. Thanks to those who looked, however I am amazed that the post was viewed over 100 times and not a single person could tell me which bulb or tell me if any of the map lights are supposed to work without the key in ignition. Weird, lol I must be the only one with a 96 jimmy
