Preemptive apologies for asking a question that's probably been answered a thousand times but my search terms are so common that all my searches returned about 10,000 results, none of which addressed my question.
We have a 2012 GMC Acadia (love it). It does have a bit (or two) of weirdness going on, however.
Bit one is that the USB port charges any iPhone at a glacial pace. On a recent trip, the charge level on the phone went from 17% to 68% in six hours of driving. That's typical performance.
Our other iPhone was plugged into a charger in the cigarette lighter (whatever that's called now) and charged up to 100% in about 1.5 hours. I think it started at a slightly higher lever, maybe 20-25% but the point is that it charged in the expected time.
Those examples are typical of what we experience now in trying to charge via the USB port but not the way things started out. The USB port originally gave a very quick charge but, after having one instance of particular weirdness, has exhibited the very slow charging behavior.
The dealer says, of course, "is no my yob, mayng". Their position is that phones all charge at different rates and the the imponderables and unknowables of phone charging are such that this is not a warranty, or even a repair, issue.
Which is all a long way of asking, "How long does it take you to charge your iPhone using the USB port on your 2012 Acadia/Travers/Enclave?"
Any help is greatly appreciated,.
