Is 850 bucks to expensive for a point job on a 1988 GMC Sierra?

This paint job entails removing junk primer that was sprayed on just to keep the body from rusting. the spraying of 3 coats of $300 primer. wet sanding with 300 grit and 600 grit paper. and the spraying of 2 coats of $400 paint.
