I changed the distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires on my truck, I ensured it was top center, and double make that triple checked the firing order.

It cranks, has spark, and has fuel running to the engine. I also checked the gap on the spark plugs.

I was thinking it was timing, but I dunno.....
Coil is connected....and the distributor is extremely tight. I do notice that it wobbles funny when the engine is being cranked. The cap is on really tight and the distributor is tight as well, i tried to loosen it to adjust timing, and i couldn't get it to budge.
I used the firing order directly out of the Haynes Manual....

redo the timing. something is not right.or something is missing. check around. for extra parts.

Very well could be the timing, but make sure you connected the coil wire as well (simple things are most often forgetten)

Make sure you got the direction of rotation correct. You could have also moved the distributor and threw off the timing. After making sure you got the firing order and direction correct you can move the distributor back and forth slowly, while someone is cranking the motor, it should fire at some point if that is the problem. Then you can find the procedure for setting the timing.

One I remove my distributor cap in order get to something else, but putting the distributor cap back on not knowing left one of the stapes off. Try ed to crank truck and broke rotor. It sound dumb, but worth a look.
