leaf over axle.

i was looking at how the set up on my truck, theres a plate on the bottom that the shock mounts to, then the leaf, then the axle, another plate, and u bolt conecting them. if i put the leaf ontop of the axle could i turn the plate that the shock mounts to upside down and move it up ontop of the leaf?

you could but you have to cut and weld the plate ontop of the diff. cant turn diff and if you try to just move leaf ontop youll blow the shock out, my suggestion dont do it, if you wanna lift it buy a lift kit
