I have a a 2011 Sierra SLE crew cab short box. I'm thinking about a small suspension lift and bigger tires to boot. Not really off-roading, but would like the option. I was thinking about a 4-5" lift, and was really wondering what would the biggest tire I could put on without a ton of work. A local place told me 285x70x17 were the biggest (which I'm not really sure what those numbers mean, but the guy said it would be about a 33" tire).
Basically I wanna know how big of a tire will fit in the stock wheel well (or with a 5" lift) without having to move them out.
