Light problems -03sierra 2500

Hi.

I'm from norway, so my english is not very good, but I really need some help with my truck.

The problem is the lights on the car. If I don't turn the ignition "on" the light switch works like it should (on-park-head). But if I turn the ignition "on" or start the engine the lights turns automaticly on (front and rear) and then the light switch doesn't respond. I can turn the switch to OFF or park and nothing will happend. So what I mean is that I can't turn the lights off or on park when the car is running. The sensor on the dash is not covered.
Can anyone help me???Please...

On my 2001 if there on off that means auto. So if its dark they will come on if the key is turned on. If you need them off when dark you can push the little knob that turns off the dome light when door is open rapidly. and they will go off and do the same to get them to turn back on. Just push it in out in out rapidly and they will go off. Switch only works normal during daytime. Hope this helps.
