When shifting, the car seems to rev high, but accelerates slowly. I have been having a problem with shifting in the cold mornings. When I try to shift at first, the gears grind and make a LOUD sound. However, when this happens, I just add brake fluid to the clutch master cylinder's reservoir. Usually after a while, i can get it to shift. However this is only on cold mornings. Today, I got some of that fluid out of the reservoir by absorbing the fluid with towels. I put new brake fluid in, and the clutch works well now. Before, when depressing the clutch, it would be loose. So, my question, overall, is: Why, when shifting, does the truck seem to rev high, but accelerate slowly?
