multiple random misfire

my service engine soon light comes on when im driving at highspeeds(65-75) around 2000 rpm and the truck does seem to begin to shake then the light comes on.
ive had this problem sence i got the truck i dont understand cuz it only happens when im on the highway
i have brandnew
plugs(E3s) waste of money by the way
brandnew 8.5mm plug wires
the code reader says it a multiple random misfire
does anyone have anyidea what it could be?

Start with the simple and replace your Rotor and Cap with products. It's common for the spark to jump in your distributor cap at highway speeds with cheap rotor and cap. The best ones for our Vortec engines are the Distributor cap with brass sleeves to keep the spake plugs from arcing, which is causing your misfire. :eek:

The other thing that would also cause this issue is a worn distributor worm gear and there is to much play causing you to loose your timing at higher rpm's.

i was really was trying to aim away from the coils cuz on these vortecs there are 8 coil packs and that gets expensive

Check your EGR valve, problems that sound just like yours can turn out to be a EGR valve that's loaded with carbon. The other common issue would be a dirty fuel filter. If it's more than one cylinder which is probably is, you are just wasting your time changing coil packs/plugs/plug wires/injectors unless all of them spontaniously went bad. This is why I am leaning towards something like a leaking gasket or a clogged fuel filter or bad EGR.
