My 03 GMC Sonoma makes a loud fan noise?

I have also noticed a lack of power when i accelerate. I was told to replace the flan clutch which i already did but keeps making the same noise and the power hasn't increased yet.. Does any one have any good tips about this issue? Thanks

Not sure about the fan noise, I think its normal without going to an electric fan. As far as the power issue, on my 2003 sonoma I did the throttle blade (butterfly) mod. Actually found a company that sold the new blade on Ebay and it was a very simple change out that helps with the power issue's.

Lack of power - lets start with this and go from there .
The plugs , wires , dist cap , air filter , gas filter , oil /filter are
A - new
B- old

The injectors were last cleaned
A - not long ago
B - unsure

The vacuum lines
A - are in good shape
B - are old and cracked

The scan from the local parts store showed
A - all is good
B - lots of numbers and a few letters.

The gas in it
A - is a major brand
B - doesn't have a logo that you'd see at a NASCAR venue

I had the same issue. I replaced my motor driven clutch with an electric fan and it did wonders to the truck. power increased and noise decreased.
