...clutch it stops temporarily. ? Usually this happens about a mile down the road then it starts shimming and shaking. I press in the clutch and it stops but then starts again once I release the clutch. I used this vehicle very little over the last 9 months except to just run it down the highway once a week to make sure it didn't die. Thanks for any input!

Could be a lot of things fuel problem spark problem or drive line. Your question leaves out a lot of detail as far as it runs like a champ or idles great and wont rev fast or sounds like it got hit with a baseball bat when i let out he clutch? but shaking and shimming is a drive line out of whack probably caused by a drunken 4x4 episode lol

If it shakes in the front and you feel it through the steering wheel you have loose front suspension and/or steering parts.
If the vibration is coming from under the vehicle towards the middle or rear, you may have drive shaft u-joints that are bad.
