My GMC Jimmy is making a weird noise when driving?

when I accelerate its making a wining noise the faster I go the higher pitch it is then when I let off the gas it gets louder and sounds nastier. It doesn't sound like a wheel bearing to me.. what do you think?

Could be a bad U-joint to your drive shaft, start with that and keep us posted. The other common are that would also cause the noise you are describing would be a bad pulley belt tension arm that has failed and will need to be replaced.
