So I just bought a 1994 GMC Suburban SLE 1500 with only 149xxx and it seems to have been garage kept and maintained for most of its life... I have a mystery switch on the left side of the dash... its a factory rocker switch in the lower right portion of the dash but its been used so much that the label is worn off... now my burb does not have fog lights on it and ive flicked the switch a few times and it doesn't seem to do anything... please help... is this a factory fog light switch and the fog lights have been removed or is this something else... plus I have no interior lights when I open the doors but when I use the rotator dial I can turn them on manually... if anyone can help me tie up these loose ends I would be very appreciative

I don't know about your rocker switch. The interior lights may not be working because the door switch is bad. On my 93 GMC truck, the switch went bad and none of the lights would come one. It was pretty easy to replace.

Would that affect all the doors if only one door switch is bad? I'm starting to think that the truck might have had factory fog lights at one time and they were removed.

[Solved] Mystery Switch

So I was at the junkyard today and just on a chance there was nice 93 suburban in there and low and behold it had my mystery switch still in it... apparently its to turn the dome lights off and to an auto mode so they come on when a door is opened... boy I felt stupid... thank you to all who tried to help with this issue... it also turned out that I had 2 bad door switches so after replacing them and turning said switch to auto voila my dome lights are working properly...
