Hello group, I just purchased a 2015 Acadia Denali. I checked the NAV software and it is due for an update. I see that there is a V.2017 update available. I plan on getting the update, but figured I'd touch base here first.
Is there a less expensive way to get the update? Or is it locked down by GMC so that it is truly a requirement to go to the dealer. I'll spend the coin if I have too, but to be perfectly honest I hate to go to a dealer for anything.
Are these updates annual?
There is a major reconstruction project on the local interstate system that I am sure will take some time for the NAV mapping system to reflect. I figure that is true for the entire country, so wonder if an annual NAV update is going to be necessary, or maybe semi annual?
