I have a 2015 GMC 2500 HD diesel 4x4.

I wanted to equipped it handle my truck camper ( Northern Lite 811).
I put on a leveling kit, 285/70 /18, 10 ply tire Goodyear dura max tires ( I also debated either airbags or supersprings and finally went with the supersprings as I was told they don't activate until a load is in truck).
So my problem? When empty The truck rides horrible, I feel every rock and hole. Its killing my back. What did I do wrong.. Please advise
Thank You
Tom

What are you running for air preesure in your tires? I am running 44 psi in my Goodyear Wrangler Dura Tracs tires 245/70/17 LT. They are on a 2005 Seirra 1500 8 ft box with a fiberglass cap. The more pressure you have in the tire the harder the ride and you will need a higher pressure if you are carring heavy loads. I picked a number after talking to different people on what to run in these tires. Did not want to play the inflating deflating game with the pressure based on what I am carring for weight on my truck for every day use.I can see you having a horrible ride in your truck when it is empty if the tire pressure is to high. The extra springs may also be effecting your ride.

Heard the same issue from a buddy with supersprings when not loaded. He is always towing though and usually had to lower the pressure of Goodyear Duratrac tires when its empty which is kinda annoying. He's now considering the airbags.
