Help From The Brain Trust. Came out of store, turns over, won't start

Hi

Wife has a 2001 Jimmy. She's broken down. Jimmy runs (er - ran) fine. She stopped to by a soda. Came out of store with her Coke Zero and Jimmy won't start, just turns over - No warning, no problems, no symtoms.

I'm hopeful spurienced Jimmy Nation members can advise

well bang hard on gas tank while she cranks it over. if it starts then you need a pump good luck

Check the fuses? It could be a blown fuse, ICM, TPS, or fuel pump or low battery. Start simple and work out from there

Checked underhood electrical first as it is free to do so and all was well. Ended up being the fuel pump. We were able to get the complete fuel pump for $212.00 thru where we purchased the vehicle from. They picked up the vehicle and they're putting the fuel pump on FOC. With all the dealer horror stories circulating these days, we can speak well of ours and it was a used car dealer at that. Good service actually still means something.
