Purchased a used Acadia to replace my 08 Trailblazer which was totaled by someone using it as a set of brakes. Not quite as nice as the TB was, the ride is OK, still getting used to starting the motor since it's mounted the wrong way. I'm definitely going to miss the real 4X4 system being out here in the desert.

I worked in the commercial tire industry for 28 years. Sold everything from go cart tires to mining dump truck tires. I'm not entirely thrilled with the choices of 18 inch tires. I still call wheels wheels, as I have sold many rims in my time, and they ALL required clamps to hold them onto the hub of a trailer or commercial truck. I did actually sell tires to be installed on WOOD rims, for a 191? antique vehicle. I don't think drastically lowering a vehicle for street use is too bright, and I have little use for tire sizes over 20 inches on passenger vehicles.

Hope to glean some insight on the new vehicle from fellow Acadia owners. Thanks.
