New Guy Needs HELP!!!!!

Just thought I would give a update about my truck... Went out on Monday and it would not make it up the little hill by the house. Felt like it was running out of gas, stopped and put more fuel in. Went to pick up a few things and that was it, truck would not get out of its own way. Took it the another garage Monday night for them to look at. Still have not heard anything about the problem.. they are going over the truck when they have time... They thought it was the mass air flow, not that. Then thought it was O2, not that, thought it was the cps not that. Now they are talking about MAYBE it jumped time, when the other guy drove it thats what he said. So now Im really at a lost, I need the truck but as want it back to the way it was running and driving fine.....:(:(:(:(

I would remove the tank and inspect it as it run fine before you replaced it

Talked to the garage yesterday, they found the lines on the new sending unit bent.. they tried to unbend them and they broke, so they got a new sending unit and now the pressure is up to 60 psi at idle. When I went to pick it up as they said it was fixed, it run better but still falls on it face when on the gas. If they cant fix it I have no choice but to take it to the dealer..... if anyone has any ideas of what else to look at Im all ears... I really need to get this taking care of, 3 months is a little to long to be without my truck!!!!

Did you replace the fuel tank with a new tank or one straight from a wrecker? Years ago my father-in-law had a problem with an old Eldorado that had been left in storage in Detroit for too long, the end result being the tank was full of rust. We changed the fuel filter at least three times on the same tank of fresh gas and that sucker still kept clogging and bogging. Pressure steam cleaning the tank was the ticket.

The tank was brand new. Didnt want to take any chances with one from junkyard....

Finally heard from the garage about my truck.. After replacing the sending unit that the first garage messed up, found out the it going to cost about 1,100 dollars to fix :eek:. They are saying the central port injection assembley has gone bad...... So now the truck will sit in the driveway till I have the money to fix, what a way to end a three month long wait.
