Hello....
I am a new member and recently purchased a 1997 GMC Sierra, ext. cab, 2wd, 1500 with 85,500 kms from the original owner's family. I would like to correct a few things that require attention and hoping the knowledge of the people in the forum can help?
The first problem is neither keyless remote fob is working. I replaced the 2032 batteries in both fobs. That didn't solve the problem. Reading through the manual I read how to reconnect the fobs to the system by pressing both the lock & unlock buttons at the same time & holding them down for at least 3 or 5 seconds. With both buttons pressed down one fob produced a clicking noise from the truck the other fob did nothing and neither are working. What's the next step I can do myself without taking the truck to a dealer? I will add that I own a 1996 Silverado in the same configuration with 249.700 kms and both keyless remote entry fobs work.
