I recently bought a used 2011 Acadia SL with about 150K miles on it. Now, after our Thanksgiving travel, I'm thinking we should get an oil change on it, especially as I don't know when it got its last oil change. I did an online 'chat' with an oil change service, told them my car model, and he told me I'm supposed to use synthetic oil. If I choose not to, I'll have to sign a waiver for them to use the cheaper conventional oil. I'm wondering what y'all do and if you would think it prudent to use the synthetic oil.....it sure is more expensive, but maybe it's worth the extra expense? Thanks much in advance for any experience and/or wisdom you can offer!

Well, noone has replied yet, so maybe my question was unclear or something... Anyway, can you please share your opinions/experiences on if you use synthetic oil and think it worth the extra cost or not? Thanks much!
