Hey everybody,
My wife and I just got our second truck, a 78 Sierra heavy half that had been restored aesthetically, but mechanically its a little lacking. The biggest issue we want to tackle right now is seriously low idle when in gear.
The truck has some trouble starting, if we pump the gas pedal a little it will usually start up 2nd or 3rd time it will start and when it does it idles fine in park. Also in neutral. But when in drive or reverse it has a tendency to shift then the idle drops to almost stalling and then occasionally it will stall at a stop or something like that. Any suggestions? Where to start? This is also my first carb'd vehicle so if its an issue there then I would not have guessed it. Thanks everybody!
